Hotshot Kicks off first event

Hotshots aim was to expose young people in Merseyside to the world of business and enterprise. There have been 3 key stages, the events on 4/5 July from which 30 students attended a two day master class at Blackburne House, Merseyside and from this 15 lucky students have now been selected to go foward to participate in the week long fame academy style event to be held in the Lake District.

The start of the programme was very successful with over 1,200 14-19 yr olds from Schools all over Merseyside attending the four half day entrepreneur roadshows. Mando Group partnered with Business Dynamics to use their blue skies roadshows as a basis for the commencement of the programme.

The roadshow aimed to encourage and inspire the students to consider starting their own business. It looked at entrepreneurial skills and introduced local young entrepreneurs to tell their success stories to the students.

The students took part in competitions and were allowed to ask the entrepreneurs questions. The event was designed to appeal and hold the young audience through an MTV style presentation with a background dj using a professional production company providing a full sound and lighting extravaganza.
