Hotshot Kicks off first event

Hotshots aims to expose young people in Merseyside to the world of business and enterprise. There are 3 key stages, the events on 4/5 July from which 30 students will be selected to attend a weekend master class in an exciting location in Merseyside and from this 12 lucky students will go foward to participate in a week long fame academy style event currently planned to be held in the Lake District.

The first Hotshots event took place on Monday and Tuesday 4/5 July. It was hugely successful with over 1200 14-19 yr olds from Schools all over Merseyside attending the four half day entrepreneur roadshows.

In conjunction with our partner, Creative Partnerships Merseyside, Mando Group's first Hotshots event, held at the Odeon Cinema Switch Island Liverpool, was a great success. It aimed to encourage and inspire the students to consider starting their own business. It looked at entrepreneurial skills and introduced local young entrepreneurs to tell their success stories to the students.

The students took part in competitions and were allowed to ask the entrepreneurs questions. The event was designed to appeal and hold the young audience through an MTV style presentation with background dj using a professional production company providing a full sound and lighting extravaganza.
